Frequently Asked Questions
In this section I will try to answer some of the most frequently asked questions I hear from models interested in working with me. Being well informed is the first step of working together. If you have any questions not listed in this section, please feel free to contact me.
Where will my pictures be posted?
After editing, the photos will be posted on websites where interested clients may purchase them for their needs. For many buyers it is more convenient to buy pictures than to personally carry-out a photo shoot. These purchased photos may end up published on billboards, ads, or internet advertising websites.
What am I looking for in models?
In photography size and age are not a factor. People of all ages are models for this type of work: small babies, children, teenagers, younger and older people. A theme can be chosen for all age groups. A child is an excellent model for family and school settings. Teenage models can be photographed in a school, college, party, or leisure setting. Models ages 20-40 are well suited for business and corporation settings. Older models, especially those with gray hair are ideal for settings representing the wisdom of life including pictures in a family setting with grandchildren. It is very important to match the personality of the model to the setting. The best photos are those where the emotion of the model is prominent, and the model feels comfortable and able to put his/herself in the role of the situation.
Will I be charged for these photo sessions?
I work with models in different types of situations. One this is always clear: the model always receives copies of the photos taken during the session on a CD-ROM. Recompensation is established individually taking into consideration the age, experience of the model, and budget. The model has no financial liability! Models frequently ask if they need to pay for the photos I take. This is not the case.
If my pictures are sold to a client, will I receive any profit?
I do not pay models for
sold photos. I post numerous photos some of which are popular, and others that
never get sold. Everytime I post photos from a session, I am taking a risk that
these photos will never get sold, and therefore I will not profit.
Do I have to sign any forms?
A model must sign a “Model Release Form” which gives permission to take and post the photos taken during the session. Without this signed consent, a photo session cannot take place. There are no exceptions. If the model is below 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must also sign the agreement.
When will I receive a copy of the pictures taken during the session?
I try to personally deliver the pictures of send them via
mail as fast as possible. The time it takes to edit and deliver the pictures
depends on how many pictures were taken and how many clients I have at the time.
Usually, on average pictures are ready within one to two weeks from the date of
the session.
Will I receive ALL of the pictures?
During a session is it likely that hundereds, even a
thousand pictures will be taken. From these, several of the best pictures are
taken, edited, and posted for sale. These are the pictures that will be on the
model’s CD. The model receives all the edited photos and does not receive a copy
of ALL the pictures taken.

What can I expect during a photo session?
The sessions are in a very relaxed, layed-back environment where our goal is to take professional pictures that appeal to clients. I try to always have a positive environment where the model feels comfortable, especially if this is a models first (and probably stressful) session. From myself and my models I expect a professional attitude. This includes:
- Being on time
- Bring the clothes and items necessary (This will be discussed prior to the session) Make sure you have all the items to match every outfit. This includes a belt, matching undergarments, shirts, and socks
- The basics of a good look are: clean, brushed hair and cared-for nails.
- For men, unless specified differently, shave beforehand
- For women, light make-up, especially not heavy around the eyes. We can always make it heavier. Please make sure that eyelashes are not clumped because this is hard to edit
